SkillMe was established in 2003 at a student event management in Brighton. We worked closely with many student unions in the city to provide successful student services. The success and joy of working with students would result in us expanding in 2009 and moving to London and establishing ourselves as an educational management and consultancy company to the Cultural Bureaus of the UK. For nearly two decades SkillMe has been dedicated to helping its student and offering desirable and effective education-related services. Today SkillMe has expanded internationally to include a branch in India to help students in the Eastern Hemisphere only expanding the number of student we have access to help.

SkillMe provides a free independent advice and support to international students wishing to study abroad. Our British Council trained consultant will support students step-by-step through their academic journey. In the last 9 years we have managed to establish a close relationship with international embassies and Cultural Bureaus around the world, by providing a unique service to their students.

Student Support Services

The only thing that SkillMe requires from their students is to apply through our application portal, supply any relevant and important student information, and finally pick your course/ university/ country of choice. It is always our goal to ensure that you are put on the right course for you and therefore available university choices may become dependent on course chosen. availability.

SkillMe will take over the rest of the application process, including processing your information and put you officially into the countries education system using our affiliated partner UCAS. Depending on your qualification and student competition your university choices may be accepted or rejected. SkillMe will find you the next best university you can study your preferred course.

There are a lot of funding opportunities for students who are in financial need in the form of bursaries and scholarships. Most if not all universities around the world offer scholarships that are open to student who meet certain requirements. This can include achieving a particular grade in a subject, or interested in pursuing a subject the university excels at, or meeting certain background conditions, etc. Each scholarship will offer a different discount fee for different requirements.

SkillMe will help you get the best out of your situation and if you believe you may meet the requirements for scholarship funding then we will help you in your application to get the funding you deserve.

There are always requirements for students to have a VISA of some sort or some kind of official documentation from the government in charge of foreign travel to authorize your stay as a student. International students interested in studying in the UK will require a Tier 4 Student Visa that will last for the entire duration of your study and their are possible opportunities to have additional months of stay in the UK to provide you the opportunity to look for work. All VISA-related information is available to each country we currently send student to on the country pages.

SkillMe will help with your VISA applications that is relevant to the country in the university you are going to. We will ensure that you have the official documentation needed to ensure you can study without any worry of being deported or removed from your university course.

Once you are officially enrolled in the university with your university and visa applications being successful, you will need to travel to the country and to the university accommodation.

SkillMe will support you in all your travelling essentials involving setting up travel to the airport and having local transportation readily available to pick you up on your arrival. Any transportation needs within the country will be support by SkillMe however not financed. If a country such as the UK for example offer public transport services, SkillMe will ensure you have access to their services.

Studying at university is half the experience when you also have the opportunity to experience independent student life. As part of this experience you will need an accommodation to stay in during your study at university. Accommodation options vary for every university and country. You may have options to live in on-campus or off-campus accommodation. On-campus accommodation includes buildings with student living spaces owned by the university. Accommodation rooms are charged at different rates depending on the room chosen. Off-campus accommodation includes buildings with student living space owned by a private company that is partnered with universities. In some countries and with some universities, you may decide to want to live with a surrogate family who will take care of you during your stay as a student.

SkillMe will ensure that any international students coming to the UK or elsewhere will have the appropriate accommodation ready and setup awaiting your arrival. We will help in your accommodation application and getting you a living place best for you. More accommodation information is available on university and country pages.

Students may need additional requirements that the university needs to cater for. This can include dietary requirements if you are living in an accommodation that serves food, SkillMe will ensure that you have the right choices of food made available to you, whether you eat Halal/Kosher food, have allergies/food sensitivities and or other requirements. You may also be a student with accessibility requirements, therefore SkillMe will ensure that your accommodation and university provides the necessary facilities to support your movement around campus. Students may enroll on a course that have material requirements, SkillMe will ensure you are prepared to the fullest and have all the necessary tools to start your course. SkillMe staff is always available to advice you and ensure that all your needs are catered.

Pathway providers are for students who have had a disturbance or pause in their education due to unforeseen geopolitical or potential personal circumstances. Such students may not have the minimum necessary qualification requirements in order to progress on to degrees programmes at university. Different pathway programmes offer preparatory courses designed to help international students build the necessary skills, knowledge and qualifications.
