About the University

University of Keele is a public research university founded in 149 as University College of North Staffordshire until it became a university in 1962. The university accommodates 11,000 students with 2,400 being postgraduate students.

Accomodation

There is a large selection of accommodation offers available at University of Keele that you can choose from. As an undergraduate or international student you will have priority for a place in the accommodation provided by the university for your first year of study:

  • Options of over 2,800 bedrooms on site. Rooms are shared across four sites: Barnes hall, Lindsay hall, Horwood hall and Holly Cross and The Oaks. 
  • Accommodation fees range from £87-£171 per week for 37-51 weeks.
  • Each housing accommodation offers different local university facilities such as study spaces, bike storage, laundry rooms and vending machines. All bills are included in the rent.

International Student - Finance

University of Keele boasts a ‘fixed fee structure’ meaning any new international  undergraduate (excluding medicine) and postgraduate research students commencing in 2020/21 are charged the same tuition fee for each year.

  • International students are able to opt to pay their tuition fees in two instalments – 50% in October and 50% in January.
  • Undergraduate course tuition fee costs between £14,750 – £20,000 per year.
  • Medicine tuition fee cost £35,000 per year.
  •  Postgraduate taught course tuition fee costs between £14,750 – £16,800 per year.
  • Postgraduate research course  for Professional Doctorate tuition fee costs £6,000 per year. Non-laboratory programmes cost £14,600 per year. Laboratory programmes in Science, Technology and Medicine cost between £16,150 – £24,300 per year. Intermediate Disciplines cost between £14,600 – £21,600 per year.

Pathway Providers

For any student that has had their education disrupted or have no recognizable qualifications however meet the minimum English requirements of IELT 5.5 and required Maths skills you may still be eligible to progress onto university. Scholarships

If you are student from a financial background that cannot support your education at the University of interest, you can apply for scholarships.
